The philosophy behind the project

Changes in society are often initiated at grass-roots level. They grow from the visions, initiatives and ideas of people searching for better societal cohesion.

These initiatives include the social movement known as the Economy of the Common Good. What this means, is a focus on an alternative economy, communication and society: no longer is financial profit the primary objective, as it is in our existing economic system which centres around competition and increase in consumer demand. Our balance sheet economy is directly questioned. The challenge of our times consists in transforming this financial balance sheet economy into a common good balance sheet. Key themes here are regional economic systems, cooperation and protection of resources.

Thank you if you are prepared to join in this experiment.

And who knows: if the idea of borrowing and lending catches on, perhaps “” could be expanded to include a gift or swap exchange for food and other objects.
